Trafalgar Square & China Town

As usual, was a norm to visit Hard Rock store for every city that we had visited. Although most of the T shirt had same design in every city, but what the fan crazy about was the city name which printed on the shirt. Paid GBP20 for a shirt and mission accomplished!
We had our lunch in one of the shopping complex at King Road. Before i went London, friend told me that Subway in London was damm nice. I said, well i never ate Subway before. So she said you better go and try out! Alright, now this is my lunch. It was tasty and cheap, only GBP1.99 for the bread and GBP 0.99 for the tea. Soooo cheap!!! (compare dollar to dollar) Since i back to Malaysia, on and off i will go to eat Subway, to recall my memory of London. :) I guess it had been listed into my list after Starbuck!
After visited Radley Shop at King Road, we heading toward Trafalgar square. I came out Radley shop emptied hand. But not to be sad cause whatever i wanted i already received it as birthday gift month ago from Sunyi & Allysa!hehe!
On the way, we passby a street which all branded shop located. There were Cartier, omega, Long Champs, Mont Blanc....
We also passby Le Meridien Hotel, London. Look so classic and grant! It looked more like a museum than a hotel. I wonder do they had any "X file" or not. As written in one of the 刘轩book, London may had more ghost than people.
Voila Trafalgar square. This place was fulled with people. It was very happening and first time i knew that there was a "Believe it or not" museum here!
Before we went to theater, we decided to visit London's China Town. We turn in from wardour street. You see, even there was a china name on the road name in London.
Typical china feel, as what you seen on the tv.I just felt excited that this place was so familiar to me. Same color skin, same culture, same design...
You can brought Chinese magazines, newspapaer here. You heard people talking mandarin and Cantonese here !
You saw all the familiar shop name, Rasa Sayang for example, even with malaysia name in it. But we didn't try out this shop because it doesn't look cheap.
We decided to eat at the shop call "大排档 " which located beside Yong's restaurant.
The food here were same as what we got in Malaysia. We ordered 滑蛋河 and dumpling. Both dishes cost about RM100 for 2 pax. Thanks Allysa for this dinner. :) The food was as nice as in Malaysia.
Asian really was Asian, after ate this dinner, i just felt whole body become refresh. It seem like all my energy came back after a tiring day of walking and suffering on the overnight bus.
May this place gave comfort for those who worked / study in London. By so far away from hometown, we can only recall hometown memory through food and language. Remember, no matter where you are, you are not alone. Chinese were every way in the corner of this earth!

Buckingham Palace

From westminster abbey, we choose to walk to Buckingham Palace. We need to walk across a big park before reached the entrance. The park was so big, i saw the below flower which i never saw before. Some nice buildings, looked like castle at another far end of the river which flow across the garden. My friend say the duck here know to pose when taking picture. Haha. I love this park because of it provided free entrance toilet! One thing good about London!
Da da da....finally reached the house that live by Queen E. From this view, i felt that it a bit small! compare with istana negara. Or perhaps was because i didn't walked in and discovered the whole palace.
The gold statue in front of the palace.
Visitor can go into the palace by paying some entrance fees during certain seasons. The queen can earn some side income from the collection of entrance fees to cover some of the maintainance fees of the palace.
There was no shift changing today, so i can only admired this mr. soldier from far.
Honestly this place didn't gave me much surprise compared with the Parliament house. But yet i still must took a photo, right?

Big Ben, Parliament House and Westminster Abbey

It had been more than 1 month since the last post. Hmm...until AY said my london bridge finished falling down. Paisey.
Well, i never though that the big ben and parliament house were such a beautiful buildings until i saw it with my own eye!Its was GOLD in color.I never walk near to the building, i just admired it across Westminster bridge. How do the genius architecture think of the design of this building?
I not sure how the Britain felt about this building. 他们究竟应该感到骄傲,还是还在缅怀日不落国曾经辉煌的历史?Just think about it, 60 years ago, Malaysia still under the government of British. How many decision had been made in this parliament house? How many times, the name of Malaya had been brought up inside here?
Not far from the big ben, there was a place where i listed as a "Must GO" destination for this trip- Westminster Abbey. What so special about it? I dont think i will be interested on it until i read Da Vinci Code. One of the most famous scientist- Issac Newton was buried here. In this place, Langdon found out that the sphere which missing at Newton' tomb was the apple, Apple that inspired Newton came out with the theory of gravity. By completed this piece of puzzle, Langdon successfully solved the Sang Grail quest. I told myself, i must go to see Newton tomb.
However, unlike Langdon, i failed the quest! :( It was because i just found out the entrance fees cost me GBP15! Despite the expensive entrance fees, the major issue was tourists were not allow to take photo inside! What the FxxK!!! Of course i wanted to take photo inside! End up i didnt went in, end up i just took a photo outside the building instead of inside. =.="
