The Best Memory

I stay in seoul for 4 days, and i am really enjoying in this four days.
I had visit the old palace, seoul tower, world trade center, aquarium...

Every morning, my principle -M. Phillippe will bring me to the starbuck opposite savoy hotel to have breakfast. Usually i will eat a cake and a cup of earl grey tea while he will drink a cup of coffee and i have be the starbuck fan since i come back.
(he still owe me a france home made wine, coz i win in a beat by guessing correct the samsung building when we are in seoul tower! Tq to Mr. Li on his explanation when he drive pass the building, hehe! However, i can only claim this prize by going to france!OMG)

Afternoon, we will eat at the canteen at the company we doing training, where i thought a thermometer is a clock! tq christopher for your explanation.
At night, Mr. Li will bring us taste the local korean food. Korea pizza, korea wine, korea BBQ...

Last night in seoul, they ask me a question, "hey , chiam how you find us? the 7 mans with you for these 4 day". i reply "EXCELLENT!". This is the only word and i can off to describe my feeling.

I know that this will be the best journey for me and i will never had it back, coz i am already resign from the job. However, i had learn a very valuable experience which is "what if you not afraid!" (who move my cheese). From the begining which i feel worry, when arrive there i sleep with smile each night, and after return it become a great memory for me.

I feel very thankful for all of you who treat me so nice in this trip. I really hope to meet you all again.

So, what my next destination! China-the awaken dragon.

This Kind of Shopping is good

Every night, the street outside the hotel i stay will have a night market. Something like China Town in KL. They sell varouis things there. But mostly will be the girl accessory. The price is much more cheaper than in Malaysia with latest design.

One night, i went out and looking around, i saw 1 man selling necklace, bracelet, some teddy bear and etc etc. I walk over and i want to buy a necklace. The man keep on promoting me to buy the bracelet as well coz it in a set. But i refuse and choose a pink color necklace. Then the man ask me,

He:"Where you from?"
Me:"Malaysia, you know where is it?"
When i start want to say Oh malaysia is below thailand and beside singapore...to what i suprise,
He say again:"Oh yeah, i like malaysia, i always go there few time in a year, i go KL"
Wa lau eh, Rupa-rupanya Malaysia so famous.
The he say again:" I am a designer, all this accessory was do by myself"
When he talking, he hold my hand and wear a bracelet on my hand "this, i give to you, i like malaysia"!
I just stund there and can say nothing beside from saying TQ.
Yeah, be proud of being Malaysian, Malaysia Boleh!

Waa, so keng GPS

One of the night in Seoul, we had bring by the distributor there to visit Seol Tower.
On our way back, Mr. Li who drive the car took out his palm and connect it to the satellit.
When i was wondering what is he going to do, a city map appear on the screen. He set our current location and destination and begin to drive.

Waa, this is the first time in my life i saw a so keng tehnology (except from TV and magazine).
The PDA not only show out the map, but also have a voice asking you to "turn left in nxt junction" You no need to watch the PDA on the whole way driving. Upon arriving out hotel, we did miss 1 junction, the voice keep on repeating a sentence, i ask wether is it talking about" hey man, wrong way". They all laught but never give me an answer.

I did take some picture on the device, but that time i am so poor ppl and never have a good digital camera, so the effect taken using normal idiot camera is very blur and it is night time.
I am just wondering Malaysia have this kind of technology or not. Kai Hong introduce a blog site for me and i think now this service is available already. But just bear in mind, the time when i saw this in Seoul, is March 2002! Hopefully one day we can enjoy this service and aviod the terrible traffic jam. hehe

TQ to a korean boy

For this korea trip,
1=i went alone
2=no people come to fetch me from airport
3=i don know to speak korea and they dont speak english
4=SARS is near! (in year 2003)

1+2+3+4 = a extremely excited trip.
When i arrive at Inchion airport. Their poeple is so helpful and bring me to the bus stop when i show them the map. Later, bus driver help me to take my "big" luggage on to bus, help me to put in money.So, i find no problem at all until i go down from the bus.

SHit, where is the hotel (as i suppose to walk some distance from bus stop) . The map i have is totally different from the actual location. During this time, an angle come out *ding...hahah actually is a korean boy, i think he almost same age with me.
he : "*4#%^&" (in korean)
me: "sorry i m not korean"
he:" help me... take... photo"
IC, guess he is a student, he ask me to take 2 card board for him and let him take the picture of the cupboard.
Done..
he:"thank..you"
me: "do u know how to go this hotel" (bit snake follow the stick up)
Then, he bring me walk and walk and ask ppl until in front of the hotel.
Oh! thank you so much.
he:"u..here..do what?"
me:"company seminar"
he:"monday ...tuesday...wednesday...u free... wednesday?" (today is tuesday)
me:"sorry but my schedule is full except today"
he:"ok..."
me:"ok...bye bye, tq"

and he walk away and i forget to ask him to take a picture with me. (please note that i still using a very lousy manual camera that time!)

as the conclusion?! i forget that korea enter world cup...heheh

Palace

Korea Ancient Palace-doesn't it look like Forbidden City in China?

This is the korea ancient palace. During my visit, i found that most of the door is much more smaller for an adult to go through.
I ask my companien, "iziit last time korea people very short?" (such a stupid question)
He reply:" No, it was becuase those door are for servent to go through, they need to bow when going through this door and only emporer can walk straight through main door"
Me :"...." (what the law is this).

Korea

I had never think that i will been to Korea,
Because of SARS, because of Iraq war,
because of France loose in the world cup while Korea won!
I told my friend that i will not go to Korea, even it is FREE.
Who know,after few month, i am at Seoul already.
It first time i travel alone, and it is free...

What the moral behind this story? never say something too early. :)
